2003 Summary
The Monk Stray Apiary January 2003
We started 2003 with six colonies at Monk avenue and two at Flaxton. By the end Flaxton had grown to four and we had collected no less than 150lbs of honey from the bees.

The early part of the year however had been quite a traumatic one. John's health problems put him out of action for a couple of months and we certainly paid for neglecting to check our charges: Swarms everywhere! Oh well you live and learn. Never leave the bees to their own devices very long!
